Its my opinion theres no need for the negativity everywhere & gunning people in threads for ego. Very few people would be so brazen with their negative remarks if talking to the person in the flesh as opposed to on a computer - fact. So that they do it on forums I find particularly sad. I mean I feel quite sorry for these people.

For example is there any need for this kind of remark?

' There are tons of "how to choose" pages and articles around the web and yours don't say anything new. Sorry that I have to say this. Please do not offend. I'm not moralizing... however it is not the best practice to post threads on topics that are broadly discussed before .'

If you see a thread that is in your opinion below parr or been done to death theres no need to gun the person down, just dont say anything & move on. So many people are quick with their negative opinions because its the only kind of opinion they know how to express. We can all say what we dislike about stuff. But complementing someone on something we like or learning to keep negative opinions to yourself unless asked is something many adults lack.

'I was more pointing out to the fact that yes your article is helpful but it would only be helpful to those who are actually interested in reading it.'

Talk about stating the obvious! LOL sorry this remark made me LOOOL.
