In my opinion, I think it's a waste of money. Google and Ask.com are the 2 largest search engines. I don't know exact numbers, but I would say that the number of people that use Yahoo as a search tool is very small compared to Google or Ask.
Also, asking $300 just to place a link in their directory is insane! I hate Yahoo
