Yep. Tried to make that clear in the auction copy. This is a pre-renewal auction. It's a chance to buy a large portfolio before it goes to the "drop-catchers" where it will probably collectively fetch far more than $500. Of course, we won't see a dime of THAT either. All we're trying to do is recoup a bit of the original reg fees before these drop from the portfolio. When facing expirations, we have to do the math on nearly 1000 domains. Unfortunately, sometimes even pretty good domains have to be dropped.
