I think that Google Checkout "could be" a good thing. However, I don't see it going anywhere for quite some time.

Not only do I think the process of setting it up per their guidelines, is frustrating enough, but I think their guidelines are just a bunch of hoops to jump through, all for the sake of 1. Offering a payment option (that I must say is far behind PayPal from the start). 2. Google wanting branding on your pages, even the ones that Google Checkout is not offered.

Generally speaking, in regards to the above, they basically want you to put their logo all over your site. If you offer the option on a product/service, you have to display their button. If you don't offer their option for a particular product or service...you have to display their "Google Checkout Not available" button on that page. To add to the frustration, you cannot have the "Not Available" button on more than 5% of your pages....this means that you HAVE TO offer Google Checkout on at least 95% of your pages.

We'll be sticking with PayPal and 2CO thank you very much
