I have to somewhat agree
"usually" it's instant, but I suppose it also depends on your ISP. I've noticed people, who can see a domain I got within the hours. However, I cannot mabye, or some of my friends cannot. So it's also up to the ISP. These days though, setting up nameservers is getting easier and faster.
