It might be easy/possible to compare one distribution with another, but I think it's fairly hard to say if FreeBSD (which is not Linux, for those newbies in here ...) is better than CentOS. FreeBSD is a whole different operating system than CentOS (or any other Linux distribution). So I think the answer is an answer nobody likes to hear: "it depends on..."
