I think you make good points. We are starting out and are just getting together a client list. The directory needs updating, and that is my bad ! Perhaps you are right about the traction comment - what would you guys suggest to improve this ?

We verify:
Phone number
Mailing Address
Company Owner / Director
Website History

By all means do all of this for a $1 a year, you will lose more than that on the automated telephone calls.

Also, please remove the blatent spam target you have made James' email. It is hashed on our site so spam bots can't read it.

Obviously, this service isn't a threat to anyone, so I realise your comments come from the best of intentions for the members of this forum - we certainly don't want to upset people.

I am a little puzzled about the comments about a personal email and address:

James is the Managing Director of Igniso Limited, go check it at the UK's companies house - its been running for a fair few years now. The postal address is business center - and Valid Seal has its own office. How many other so called security web sites have that ?

The email is the managing directors email of the parent company, but I take your point and will get it changed.

I really hope Valid Seal is a success and I would like to ask what other features you would like to see:

Ideas include:
VAT / Ltd verification in the Uk. What would the U.S equivelant be ?
Trading history.

I think a security website has to start somewhere - so the comment about us being two weeks old is both fair and harsh at the same time. We intend to be around for the long term so I would like to offer our services to you guys for free - then you can report back on what you think.

If your not interested thats cool - but I think its important to let people know that online business and services arnt just:

A VOIP Phone
A bedroom
Cheap hosting
Paypal
and ZERO security.

For those business' that compete with these kind of Kiddie hosts there is real value in being able to differntiate to consumers - and I hope you will take up my offer of free verification.
