I never use a software seperately for html, I use the html editor which is available along with cpanel's latest version. I think you dont need a seperate html editor for editting.
The most simple html editor you can have is notepad and IE opened simultaneously.
But my advise is to go for dreamweaver, in which you can not only edit html files but also many type of files.
