Questionable ethics and FBI raids aside, e-gold is just too hard to fund to begin with to achieve widespread use. They have been associated with too many "sketchy" schemes to have a good reputation...anyone hear of all the paid surfing investment/Ponzi schemes a couple years ago? Almost exclusively e-gold funded. Definitely a shady past.
