I am glad that it worked out well, and am especially glad for your other customers. I have experienced this only as a customer whose hosting was cut off because of attacks on another shared hosting client on the same server.

Anything less than what you did simply is not fair on your other clients, and you risk losing them instead if they continued to experience down time in this way.
