One of my friend has free web hosting site and they have over 100 hosted members. Since its a free web hosting site, he wants to use something thats free to maintain clients records (hosting details, applicant details). He has nothing to do with money transaction.

Will phpcoin serve the purpose and has anyone tried it for client records of this magnitude (over 100 clients)?

Do you know of any other free client records management software?

phpcoin is good for a free alternative. Have you tried their demo? http://cpdemo.phpcoin.com/
It's been known to have a few flaws in it, so make sure to keep everything updated. Not the best, but like you said, it's free.

I don't really know many free ones however, if he has that many clients. Mabye he should get ads placed on all sites, that way he can afford a professional system. Over 100 clients good equal to some good adsense cash.

PhpCoin is not a bad script to use for your free web hosting. As mentioned above though, it might be good to pay for one, there are good lower end alternatives. PhpCoin also has a good amount of custom skins out there that can give a better overall look and feel of the billing system

Kindly let me know cheaper paid alternatives to phpcoin. I may consider one of the cheaper paid ones if they are well inside my budget.

PHPCoin works. In my opinion, it is better than some of the ones that cost money. Now they even have IPN add-ons that knows when an invoice was paid through let's say PayPal or something; and will automatically change the status. I personally like it.
