How many hosts out there use EGOLD? I'm curious, because I hear that EGold is a good way for scammers to take your money and run? I haven't used it myself, and I don't think I'll ever use EGold. Mabye some members, who use EGold for products can shed some light.

I don't allow EGold on my host for payments as i generally do not like it but i do not know if it scams anyone though.

If you are dealing with egold beside the high risk of fraud it is very difficult to find a reliable exchange service provider.

I was just curious about it, since I've noticed many scammers and hackers use it. Usually when I get someone asking me if I can pay via egold, I'll have to decline it. I don't have an egold account, nor does egold have a protection policy. Once the money get's sent, your not getting it back.

Its impossible to be defrauded *accepting* e-gold, as there is no chargeback system, so unlike paypal, stormpay, credit-cards, charge-cards, debit-cards, cheques etc once you have the money, you *really* have the money.

And there are plenty of good out-exchange companies, just avoid those where rates are too-good-to-be-true :p We've used 4 of thse listed on teh e-gold site over the years and never had a single problem.

Yes, but my point was also from the customer's point of view or other scammers out there. I've seen some nasty threads about these scam hosters. They just make or buy a nice template, addon some unbelieveable prices and some new users fall for it. Also, once they use egold, there money is stuck with the scammer.

I have to agree with you. I just saw a thread about a 15 year old, who opened up his own hosting biz. Worst off all, his grammer skills were very poor and he was very unprofessional. Looks like these days anyone can become a host, just paste on a template, get a cheaper server and your up selling :p

Personally, I don't think that grammar and spelling define a person or a service, although I agree that I can be a little influenced by such mistakes as well. Human nature.

I don't know. I think if you speak with a "host" who types like a 7th graded and uses z's instead of s's (ie serverz), you'd be foolish to rely on them for any type of service. Perhaps I'm just taking this too far, but I'd have to say that proper grammar surely goes a long way.

I don't know really. I mean these days I've seen some people, who do type with lack of grammar. However, they still do provide good service. I suppose their either lazy or just have typing issues. I don't think it "always" means there a bad host or will provide poor service. That's almost like judging a host, by the CEO's relgion or color. Doesn't always mean the person is a certain way. It really depends on how "poor" the grammar is for the person. Sometimes it's just a few mis-typed letters.
