I just ordered a server with TRrustix, what are your feelings on this version of linux? It is supposed to be more secure then most coming with tailored options for firewalls etc... To sum it up its built for hosting.

More information on it: http://www.trustix.com/

First off I personally do not use trustix and I have never tried it.

That being said I do not think that I would start using a distro for the first time on a hosting box. True it is very secure out of the box but I would much rather know the system I am working on. If you take the time you can secure a linux server to be very tight. If you are not sure how trustix works or how some of it is setup you may not be able to configure it as secure as the distro you are more familiar with.

After using it for a week or two I would be interested to see what you think about it How are they with keeping updated packages and such?

We are official partners

I like the idea of a distro aimed at servers and not desktops, servers and any other device. The ISO is nice and small and you can get a "usable" machine up and running nice and quick.
