The problem is that the script is so poorly documented. There is a header and footer editor included in the script, so they are fairly easy to change, but you actually have to edit the perl scripts to change fonts, etc. If you are fairly comfortable with perl you should find it relatively simple to modify.
Ahh ok. I'm not too comfortable with Perl really; I'd be a lot better with PHP really.

What I really want is just a billing solution.
It's hard to find a good billing system eh?
I started with a list of the following: ModernBill, WHMAutoPilot, ClientExec, PerlBill, Account Manager, Bug-Invoice, WebHost 57, Whois.Cart(), BillThru and 2ndSite - So far I've only ClientExec, Whois.Cart(), BillThru and 2ndSite left.
ModernBill and WHMAutoPilot just did too much. They were on the verge of waking me up at 5am with a nice cup of black sugarless coffee - very nice, but a bit OTT. PerlBill does what I want - however at the moment it's a bit expensive for what it does, and is written in Perl (would've preferred PHP); however if I don't find something suitable I'll put it back on my list. Account Manager is too basic for the price you pay. Bug-Invoice looked awful; however seemed to have a lot of features. WebHost 57 just seems like too much hassle to edit; and also the user interface isn't too good or clean cut.
Whois.Cart() is more than a billing system, however for the price it's very good. ClientExec is very clean cut, and isn't too expensive either - however lacks features for its price. BillThru looks very good, and I'm very interested in it - however it only has integration with Authorize.net as far as I can tell. 2ndSite also looks good and I'm also interested in this - It accepts PayPal, however I'm not sure of which merchant accounts it has integration with.

It, unfortunately, really seems very difficult to find a good billing system which does just that, and nothing else - There is PerlBill, however I'm not too keen on it since it's written in Perl and seems a bit expensive for what it does. Other than that, there's BillThru and 2ndSite - however not much else unless you want an all-in-one-package.

And then of course, I always dislike having my data and my billing solution in someelse's hands - or on a server I don't manage.

(Really, I wasn't paranoid until everyone started conspiring against me).

Ahh... in your case, it's a lot harder then. You then really only have left PerlBill - unless you take a look at say Whois.Cart() or ClientExec. I don't mind it being on another server that I don't manage, or in someone else's hands - so for me BillThru or 2ndSite would be fine as long as they accepted the payment options that I need.

Or, I could stop whining and write my own - oh, sorry, can't do that - I'm too lazy.

I just ran across this one:

Very nice system - however it only accepts PayPal. I'd need for it to accept more; however it is still a pretty nice system.

I'm currently awaiting a reply from 2ndSite and BillThru - Seeing what merchant accounts they integrate with.

 - I can't write my own unfortunately, as I don't know PHP well enough. I did however have a very simple script created for use here in the office; but I'm not keen on getting another script made for online use.
There are so many available for online use, that I'd much rather use one of the ones already available.

Lots of good billing systems there. I'm busy checking 'em all out.

Is there a script that simply allows people to signup, create a monthly paylink (2CO and paypal as options) then give me the details for their plan, or just send me the plan they bought (selected from a drop-down), their personal details (Like contact, name, email etc.), how payment was made, and either an OrderID or paypal address?

Something that simple allowing me to have all details needed and be able to setup accounts manually would be perfect.

If anyone could help me find this I would be forever greatful

That would be the billing software that can fit me.

Hey John,
That looks like the kind of thing I want
Do you know if I am able to change the information sent in the text boxes?
Is the results just sent in an email or something?
Would like to see how it works more to make sure it is what I want, have you used anything like those forms for orders yourself?

Robert,

I don't know much about them, they were just one of the six zillion I've found since I've been trying to find the perfect system for myself.

From looking at the source, it looks like the form information is emailed - naturally I can't see the script, but the demo form seems to email the response, and carry variables to direct the user to your payment processor.

That being said, it looks like it would be easy enough to change the form fields.

Anyone on Hosting Refuge sell these scripts? I am just looking for an order script, don't need the other 23 scripts included

This is the exact thing I would like:
http://www.hostnexus.com/order/shared_order.htm

It has everything needed and the layout and method used is good.

Robert,

I can do that form for you in a mattter of minutes. Putting it into your site's design wouldn't be very hard, that part is straight html.

Say the word.

Actually, I would like something like this also.
I have whois.cart installed but as a lot of people know, I have my own custom offline billing program (BillVoice, have it online if anyone wants to try it) so I don't use the invoices, client management etc. in whois.cart.
Having something very simple would even make things easier for me.

Are you able to do exactly what the scripts you listed do, with the same methods and layout as on Host Nexus?

I would be happy to pay for this
Whois.cart is also very hard to customise and integrate to your own site design, well I have found it to be anyway.

Thanks
John

Here is the script I think they're using, if not, it's damned close and it's only $15.00 a lot less than I would charge

:p
