Has anyone used StormPay?

I signed up for an account and at least on that day, it seemed horribly slow.

If you have used it, what do you think? Do they have developer APIs available? What about their support relative to Paypal?

John

John,
I have haeard a lot of people saying it is a lot better than paypal, although not so many would use it instead of paypal because a lot more users would have a paypal account already.
Maybe it would be good as another option though

I've had bad experiences with StormPay, shutting down my account with $200 or so in it, never givin an explanation, they've never returned emails I've sent in either.

This is their fees:

Quote:
Sell Products/Services: (Fee Structures are based on tier levels as defined below)
Tier 1 = < 2% chargeback ratio (6.9% plus 69 cents per transaction)
Tier 2 = 2.01 to 4% chargeback ratio (8.9% plus 69 cents per transaction)
Tier 3 = 4.01 to 6% chargeback ratio (9.9% plus 69 cents per transaction)
Tier 4 = 6.01 to 10% chargeback ratio (11.9% plus 69 cents per transaction)
Isn't that really high?
I thought paypal was only 2%-3% plus about half the set charge

Ouch Gordon!

Well, overall I wasn't impressed with StormPay, but I like to offer some alternatives.

Paypal doesn't require users to have an account if they are paying by credit card now - HUGE improvement in my opinion - I've always wondered how many people are willing to sign up for a PayPal account in order to make an impulse purchase - probably not many.

Naw, I like paypal to much - easier more people use it and it is more like 2Checkout now since you can use a credit card
