I have only one question...

1) Should my merchant have notified me BEFORE they taked the money out of my bank account?

They take the money then contact you.
I have only ever had one chargeback that was actually fraud.

From what I know everyone deducts it from your account then they send you notification.

If you think it is wrong, you normally have to contact the credit card company direct to get your money back and get the chargeback reversed.
