With my salon and web design business, I started with Peachtree Accounting and upgraded to QuickBooks Pro. Very easy to set up. Lots of reports.

I actually use WHMCS as well as an accounting template I have set up. I run a few businesses, so I find that this way is the best way for me to keep track of everything. All of the numbers can get confusing if they're not organized in an effective manner.

I also use quick books. When I first started web design, I used a simple spreadsheet. After things got more complex is when I switched. It's a great piece of software.

We use QuickBooks. Quickbooks online is great for web hosting. You enter the customers details in and you can setup reoccuring billing in a template for each customer. Its a pain in the butt if you have alot of signups each day; however, it makes life much easier than importing or trying to import from a billing software.

I Do use a spreedsheet. I first picked up this time in my office sales jobs. It can be easy to change and show projected income and if you use the correct commands it can be very useful to you. It beats using a software like sage or something, and its cheaper.

QuickBooks Pro is not that expensive, and once it's set up - is so much more comprehensive and user friendly than managing spreadsheets.

Agreed. It's well worth the price & I love that I can simply export everything, send it to my CPA and he takes care of everything each quarter.

ClientExec to invoice - exports clients/invoices to csv file and then imported to Microsoft Small Business Accounting for financials.
