As we are not doing $100,000 yet a year in gross sales we still feel we needed control of our money and bank accounts... so we offer all credit card payments through our 2 WHMCS Payment Gateway Modules (MeS for all US transactions, Beanstream for Canada) Google Checkout, Paypal, US Bank Drawn Checks and Money Orders.

We do realize not all people have access to credit cards or debit cards but most have a bank account so they can use Google Checkout or Paypal.

We also have had many senior folks that still prefer personal checks and some even like money orders, but very few!

But cost per month and per transaction is defiantly a major factor in deciding what path to take.

We allow credit cards through 2Checkout gateway and we're very pleased with their anti-fraud system.

Yes, and it is a must. Just apply for a PayPal business or premier account and you're good to go!

I think it is a necessary service to accept credit cards. Be aware that you will need some type of fraud check to go along with the service. Fraud seems to get worse every day.

You can accept credit cards using Paypal as a merchant but are slugged with a fee ofcourse. This is very handy if you do not wish to become a merchant yourself.

I am using 2CheckOut so I can't accept Direct CC payments.. but 2CO, PP, AP and MB Accept This.

You can use 3rd Party Payment Processor like AP/PP/LR/MB,etc..

Yes, we accept credit cards (Visa, MC), as most of our customers prefer this method. We do have to verify the orders and prevent fraud with CC payments, it's more prevalent than with Paypal orders.

Worst problem about CreditCards is the highers fees and gateways commisions. But in the other hand is an easy and fast way to pay.

This isn't really much of an issue if you account for those in your prices. If you attempt to compete with the big wigs in the game on price, you will go broke in no time flat unless you oversell like crazy.

You could also require a certain amount before allowing a credit card transaction. If you are charging 2$ a month, you could require the person to pay for at least 6 months of services to make it worth while for a credit card transaction.

AB
