New Merchant account provider found, any experience ?

iKobo Money Transfer and Merchant Services

They don't charge any fees... !
Registration is free, I was able to receive credit card payments in half an hour with no
investments at all.

MOD NOTE: Affiliate link removed - please read the rules. We rely on your future cooperation.

PS: and most wholesome: they provide 10 Level Affiliate Program.
By now I have no complaints, does anybody had experience already with iKobo ?

-------

MOD NOTE: The "signature" affiliate links were removed as well. Also from the rules:

Probably the complaints came because of spammers like to sign up to public forums and post affiliate links.

I had some interest in using ikobo, but the complaints I read (and the plethora of spammers on various boards praising their service) made me change my mind.

Actually, no.. they were using iKobo .. and didn't like it.
For example, you have to scann and send them your ID, drivers licence etc.. if you are going to use more than $200 transfer, or something like that..
btw. that was like 5-6 months ago .. do a search on the "other" forum.

Same here, but I think I'll give'em a shot.. because I have no other option in receving payments from abroad..

Ohh well, other option is to start a real company in Delaware , LLC maybe ..

What do you mean you have no other options for receiving payments from abroad?

There are lots of options.

Well... if he lives in Bosnia his situation must be pretty much the same as mine as I live in Romania. For small amounts of money we're in a very difficult situation. I still stick to checks, but the whole "check sent -> its arrival to Romania -> cash check" process tends to take about 1 month and a half.

On my list, besides the deleted Ikobo, were Stormpay (also deleted) and Moneybookers. The last one is still on my list but I've never used them.

That's correct.
Other thing is that we do web design also and we can't offer it internationaly.. these could be a little bigger amounts but ..

Paypal doesn't support Bosnia, and I can't get a merchant account anywhere ...
I was going to partner up with someone and open a US based company and this would solved(I guess?!) our problems, but due to a family member death this has been delayed..
Bad thing is that I posted a thread(on other forum) about partnership(actually investing in some company) and if I do that again I migth not be taken seriously this time ....

What types of services do you offer Bosnia?
Does 2checkout allow you to sign up from Bosnia?

At the momment, locally, services offered are design, programming and hosting (and also computer shop & repairement, networking, consulting... btw. verry soon we will be offering security and backup services aswell).

Regarding 2checkout,
It seems like they DO NOW !
I have to investigate it litle bit deeper to be sure.. though
Long time ago I was also exploring this option, but payment processor companys were not accepting signups from Bosnia.. so I excluded this as an option.
This change it all

Thanks !

edit: Anyone using 2checkout? Reviews ?

It seems Blue has made you happy!
There aren't special problems with 2Co.
Their service 7/10 by my opinion.

I use them myself.
No problems. Their site used to go down occasionally but it never affected any sales as client pages were always up.
Support is slow but I haven't had many occasions to use support.

Do many customers even opt to pay through iKobo?

Since I've been also using ikobo for some time now, I suppose I should give my impressions on their service. Sure, it may not be the best around, but for someone like me with limited resources and also living in a country not covered by most of the other processors it's a pretty good deal. I'm getting a decent amount of customers paying through them, I'm sure that it could be more, perhaps if I added another gateway or something. Overall I'd say that things aren't all that bad with them, there's room for improvements of course, but at least I'm not getting scammed.
