Hello,

Just after other comments on the anticipated release of v3. Ive waited a year for this to be released and got sooooo fed up i went with modernbill.

Im really please with modernbill and its features, but wonder if i'll ever regret it?

What are your thoughts on both billing systems?

Chris

It's been forever, but I've decided to stick it out. There are a few things about WHMAP that I don't like and the feature list that has been released for v3 seems to fix those things. I hear that a beta will be released soon. WHMAP *should* improve majorly once v3 is released, but we'll just have to wait and find out.

The beta is supposed to be released at the end of the month.

I like WHMAP. I'm looking forward to V3.

I'm looking forward to v3 as well although v2 has really met the needs for us. Hopefully v3 just expands on that

Actually, I would happy if 2checkout could get their act together so we could use all the features of WHMAP. I'd take that before the need for v3.

I know I know, this is a pet gripe of mine, that many of you have already read time and time again, but if whmAP could only give an option for the port 25 thing....we might get some use out of our license.

Thats worth looking into, Mark. I'll see if I can find any info about it's emailing component. If you happen to come across anything, let us know. That would make me feel more comfortable with the software.

Where do you get your sources from. I am currently with Lpanel, which is doing horrible in there development and with support, so I was thinking of switching everything over to ModernBill. However if your saying a beta version is going to be released to the public, then I may just wait for this. But please confirm this information for me, and tell me who you get this from.

Thanks,

I hope that the person who said that is correct. *wonders if there will be a conversion tool from Lpanel to WHMAP*

I grew tired of the fact that WHM Autopilot couldn't make any deadlines they set. Granted, developing software is no easy task but telling all your customers a deadline and never reaching it isn't good business practice.

I think if WHM autopilot would have kept V3 quite for a long time they would have been much better off. Instead they opened a can of woms and started making promises they couldn't keep.

V3 was promised to clients over a year ago... it still hasn't been delivered.

I'm sure they've lost a lot of clients because of it which is to bad because it *seems* they have something good going. Only if they could ever get their deadlines met... You might want to see what I mean on their own forums here: http://www.whmautopilot.com/forum/in...showtopic=7560

I personally wouldn't deal with a company that promises a product to its customers, which depend on it for their business and livelyhood, then keep feeding them along... its coming....... oh we made and update...... coming soon.... beta almost ready....... ONE YEAR LATER - WHM still isn't complete.

My company personally ran into trouble because of Payssytems, they dropped our account as of thousands of others, we were in desparate need of a Canadian processing company which we found.

WHM promised they would support it in V3 and lead us along, without us being able to process client transactions for MONTHS.

V3.... its coming......... beta soon........... small update. .......... some fake screenshots in photoshop......

We deceided to drop them and move to Modernbill otherwise my hosting business would have went under without making that decision.

What will happen when there are security issues and bugs with V3 that can expose your customers private information?

........................we received the security notice........................we are thinking about working on it.....................I took my son to football games ............. oh I've started an update it will be ready soon................... the update is almost ready ............

Meanwhile your business is open to attacks and it faces a good potential of completely going under because of their lack of updates.

I would SERIOUSLY consider looking at a company that actually has time to work on their product, which doesn't look like WHMAutopilot in my eyes.

I'm not a member of their forums. That clears it up.
