I just recently bought a copy of ihost for billing and account creation for my business. I like it so far but since i havent been using it very long i was wondering what other people who use it, think of it?

If you referring to ihostdev's ihost, I would say its simple and effective. In terms of layout, I think more should be done to make it more attractive to both consumers. The flaw about it is that its not able to properly create a reseller account or an cpanel account with WHM in it.

After messing around with the demos, I really find it very bland and unappealing. It gives the end user a "lite" (cheap) feel, however as it is a free cPanel, I suppose you cant ask for much more.

Does it offer templates? Otherwise, yeah too bland.

It is able to create the reseller account it just doesn't grant the reseller privlages. The admin must login to the server and do this.

We are hard at work with v2 that is adding over 25 new features and will be a much faster and better system.

Ive used it before. It was O.K. but the layout was kinda ugly.....

lets hope you Ihost guys get the new version done... I might be interested...


Suggestion: add DirectAdmin integration... would really good
