EPhost introduces new control panel; announces plan to offer cloud hosting

A new web hosting control panel has been introduced by EPhost. Some of its most prominent features is the ability to automatically install open-source applications such as WordPress, as well as backup/restore an entire website. The company announced its intention to release cloud hosting solutions offering in the near future.

Pragma Securities moves to Switch and Data’s EcoCenter in New York

Trading solutions provider Pragma Securities has moved to Switch and Data’s New York Financial EcoCenter, which is interconnected with a couple of data centers in Manhattan and to ultra low latency fiber providers. Ample space and power availability are two of the factors that went into company’s decision to move to the EcoCenter.

GoDaddy launches incorporation services

GoDaddy announced that it is now offering incorporation services as value-added service to their clients. The new service simplifies the process of an incorporation’s transition to a corporation or LLC. Willing customers have to answer a few business incorporation questions, after which GoDaddy files the paperwork on their behalf.

A grand opening ceremony will take place today for Liquid Web’s new D3 data center in Lansing, Michigan. The $80 million facility is 90,000 square feet, designed to support company’s new propriety cloud computing product. D3 is the first cloud computing data center in the state of Michigan.

ServInt opens second data center in Los Angeles

A web hosting company ServInt has opened a data center in Los Angeles. ServInt LA is company’s second data center, with the first one located in Washington, D.C. The new DC will house company’s new and existing customers in western United States and Canada.

Internap to add 15,000 square feet to Seattle data center

Internap Network Services has announced it will add 15,000 sellable square feet of capacity to its Seattle data center. The expansion will cost the company over $20 million.

Arkeia Software acquires Kadena Systems

Arkeia Software, a network backup solutions provider, has acquired a data deduplication technologies firm Kadena Systems. It will integrate Kadena’s deduplication technology in its network backup, achieving accelerated backups and reduced network congestion. Source-side deduplication can be deployed by using storage APIs or within the guest OS.
