Affiliated Computer Services has invested $3 million in a green data center in Telford, UK. Designed and built by IBM, 70 percent in energy costs would be saved as a result, which turns to approximately 4,200 tonnes of carbon footprint reduction.

Other World Computing has become the first data center to be powered entirely using on-site wind turbines. The company started to use a wind turbine that measures 131-foot tall in October.
