Most reliable hosting company websites in February 2010

NaviSite was named the most reliable hosting company website in February, according to a Netcraft survey. The company uses Apache on CentOS. DataPipe came in second place, followed by INetU. Six of the top ten sites were running Linux. Two identifiable hosts ran FreeBSD and one ran Microsoft’s Windows Server 2008.

Storms causes data center downtime

Severe weather in Northern California is taking its tall on data center performance. Managed hosting provider NaviSite has opened a new data center in Charlotte. The company now operates 16 data centers located in the United States and United Kingdom, with a total cumulative area exceeding 223,000 square feet.
