A new long-term colocation deal has been signed by SSE Data Centres with Kingfisher, a UK home improvement group. Kingfisher has over 820 stores in eight countries. It chose SSE because of its energy efficient environment. The size of the SSE data center is 80,000 square feet and it has 15MW of power.
Colocation provider Internap has partnered with a dedicated server provider Global Net Access (GNAX). Internap will provide GNAX with a 10 GB IP connection, which will increase performance of the Gold Network in GNAX.

Mirror Image Internet has partnered with Wowza Media Systems in a deal that lets Mirror Image use Wowza’s multi-protocol streaming application to deliver video from any codec or device including the iPhone. In exchange, Mirror Image will Wowza Media Server Pro Advanced available (Pro was launched in February 2007) in the second half of 2009.
RatePoint tools will become available to Webfusion customers due to partnership agreement. Webfusion clients will receive a 60-day trial service of RatePoint’s web-based communication service.

Also, LeaseWeb will start to offer HP’s Green IT products such as HP ProLiant Servers models DL120 and DL180.
Internet service provider Lumison has announced partnership with a UK managed hosting company NetBenefit. Under new agreement, NetBenefit will use Lumison data center in Croydon, South London. NetBenefit’s hosting platforms rely on high power densities that require efficient airflow, and Lumison’s Croydon facility provides the effective cooling and the power draw that NetBenefit depends on.
