I hate to break this to you, but your company is worth nothing right now.

Your average ticket price is something like $5.00, not to mention that the small handful of people you signed up within the last few weeks are all annual which means the buyer wont make any of their money back without providing 12 months of services. If the buyer actually keeps the server, they are losing 300+ per month.

This looks to me like another one of those scams where individuals start up a reseller web hosting business and charge $1/mo, collect the annual payment, and tries to run and sell. If you find someone to actually buy your business please let me know immediately because I have a bag of rocks I'd like to sell for $350.

So, $150 (before bank charges etc) income from hosting and domains
Server rental $400/month
Initial loss 250$
Ongoing loss $400/month

Quick bit of math ...
4650 (loss) + 400 (purchase price)/16 = 315 (customer acquisition cost)

An absolute "bargain" for the rich or clueless.

So 2 weeks in when you find that it didn't make you

and faced with another 4k+ of expense you bail ...

I think there was a misunderstanding....there is no requirement that you keep the website, the server, the domain registration account, or the advertising after you purchase it....there are no liabilities to be purchased here.

We have seven cusomers that have currently paid -> Basic Plans

7*9.10 = 64.19 - Already paid and on our server
2 * 45.84 = 91.68 - 2 or more personal accounts to be paid to new owner
4 * 9.17 = 37.08 - 4 or more basic plans to be paid to new owner

This is equal to about $174 dollars. As you can probably tell, I am not saying that I will get you 2 personal plans and 4 basic plans....I am saying that I will probably get you MORE than that. That is an instant profit of over 120 dollars from this sale, not to mention that all of the customers are satisfied so they will all probably renew. I still view it as a good deal...we are open to bids - Send them to staff@qthosting.com or send me an instant message.

I have done the math and for the life of me I can't figure out where the 120 dollar profits comes from.

In a way, yes...but those customers only take up 500 MB of disk space, so no big deal. You wouldn't notice a big impact on your server. Where the 120 dollars comes from: I can guarantee that I can bring in 6 new customers (at a minimum); 4 on the basic plan, 2 on the personal plan. This totals up to be just over 120 dollars...and I'm positive I can get many more customers for you than just 6 in the long run.

Now the bidding begins....We just received a confirmation of a premium account....this plan is 183 dollars / year. All of this money, plus the money from the two personal accounts, plus the money from the 4 basic accounts would flow into the buyers hands....I have a bid for 1.8 times the yearly revenue (as of this point, one month) of 375 dollars or about 676 dollars USD...Would anyone like to top that?

ok, i'm confusuzzled now - you started with saying 14 clients. I suggest to help your sale you list
how many clients in total *existing*
how many monthly on each plan
how many annualls on each plan
how many domains sold

that way people have a full picture of what they are getting.

I'm prepared to bid a simple $10 per live client, for the site, domain, domain reseller account and 'n' clients - server not required. We are also interested in you continuing to acquire customers for the business.

I hesitate in posting in these threads because it ends up being a flame war. But honestly, this thread makes no sense. The TS is selling a liability.

And now suddenly, he receives an order for a premium account? And an (anonymous) bid for 1.8 x yearly?

Those 65 dollars made by us on the plans as stated above will be retained by the owners of QuasiTech Hosting. On the other hand, the majority of the money will be given into the hands of the new owner. The money can be totaled up as follows:

1 * 183 = $183
2 * 45.84 = $91.68
4 * 9.17 = $37.08

Total = About $311....This is instant cash, and may increase as the first month passes and the co-owners try to drive in more customers. Remember: this is pretty much a minimum.
