Water leak detection system seems to be more complex and difficult to maintain in a data center. Also most of the data centers donot even have such a system in place..

Pls share your experiences and views about the same..

I've seen data centers with and without leak detection. A lot of that depends on how they are designed as well. For example one data center the company I work for uses has elaborate water detection along with sump pumps because the site was origionally built by IBM to house mainframes. As such there is chilled water plumbing under the raised floors and there were concerns of water leaks from the chilled water system.
