My employer has a dedicated (i.e. gated) lab environment on the datacenter floor at our hosting company. It's a fairly large environment, which 300+ servers in the lab and over a thousand on the production area of the datacenter floor. We've run into a problem recently with storage of spare parts and cabling. All of the storage areas outside of the datacenter floor are currently full due to power and cooling upgrades that are in progress and we need to find some way to organize things.
The problem is that we've been unable to find a vendor with suitably large fire resistant storage crates or drawers. We have both a large number of cold spare servers and a large volume of spare parts and cabling that need to be organized. The amount of each varies on a monthly basis, so having a couple of generic steel shelving units and stackable storage containers would be our best solution. Ideally we'd like to find containers similar in dimensions to the large Rubbermaid storage tubs and modular drawers that we use for part storage outside the datacenter.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

Check this site for the data center:

http://ev1servers.net

They are the pioneer and a huge datacenter. They have their datacentes pics available at their site. If you can have a look at those you will be better idea of placing your servers with a storage space.

Thank you.

Regards,
