What you want to do with the domain name acttually? Care to explain more?

If you want the domain name to point to forum.domainname.com, then you need to point your domain name to the nameserver of the web host that you are going to used. You could also redirect it, but I reccommend you to change the Nameserver.

It seems that you have to redirect your domain name with 301 redirect.

From what I understand, you need to register with an hosting service.

Create a subdomain called forum.domain.com at your hosting.

At your registrar, point all traffic from domain.com to the dns server of your hosting provider.

install forum. customize it.

You should be good to go.

Very simple....

point your domain to EditDNS.net's servers. Open a free account, donate $5.

Next, point the A records of blogger to your blog and the point the A records of forum... to another server.

Simple... go to EditDNS.net, you will understand.
