Which one is more preferable and why? I consider to use services from *******.com and Enom.com. I will reg generic domains. So what would you recommend me to do?

I go with US based registras just because of the fact that the UK based ones I first investigated (because, being a Brit expat I trust all things British first) but they were too expensive. I also didn't find much if any difference in the services that they were offering.

I think their location won't matter. Just check the features they offer along with the registration. and of course, the price.

The price really is the big thing right now if you are US based, because the dollar is so weak. Five years ago it wasn't such a big deal buying British, but now you REALLY pay a lot of dollars for UK stuff. So take the exchange rate into consideration if they are charging in none US denominations.

Location is a moot point with regard to basic name services. The more common domains are served by name servers all over the world, so speed should be about equal from most locations.

Both domain registration companies (Enom.com and *******.com) seems nice for me. I have seen many positive reviews of those companies and it's up to you to decide which one to use.

I always thought Enom.com work with resellers mostly, while *******.com with end-users.

Enom does work mostly with resellers. If an individual has several domains and doesn't mind the deposit, they will receive reseller pricing and may register domains through their reseller account.

Don't know about *******, but Enom support is king of 'slow and meaningless'

I would highly agree with the USD/UK exchange issue. As muh as we Americans would like to not think about it, the dollar is weak right now and buying from a US domain registar is probably a better bargain for the same domain. As mentioned several can register the same .uk or whatever but you can pay in USD.

At the moment *******.com is a leading .asia registrar, are you going to deal with .asia extension?

I have just checked the site of *******.com ,it seems to me that their prices are very high in comparison with other domain registrars, such as Enom and GoDaddy.

I heard about the slowness of their support too. That may be the main factor why people don't want to choose them, I guess.

Thanks for your input, community.
I have decided to reg some domains with *******.com as I have read many positive feedbacks about their activity. I think using diecounts will be reasonable.
