I tried to purchase new domain from godaddy.com using my debit card (i dont have a credit card now). I got a screen with msg that "There was a problem authorizing your card". The card is mine and I have filled all required info completely and correctly. Is this a temporary problem or does it mean that they dont accept debit card payments?

They do not accept debit.
Credit card or Paypal are your only options.

Yes they do. To get around this, make a paypal account and add your debit card to it. Then, make the purchase using paypal and godaddy will accept it. Godaddy does not accept paypal purchase if no card is on the account.

This is a good way to bypass the credit card issue.

In other words, they accept Paypal, not debit.

I have used both personal and company debit cards to GoDaddy without a problem. Does the card have a Visa or MC logo? If so it processes as a credit as well as debit (ie "pin" transactions). Or are we talking about an ATM (pulse, allpoint, star, etc.) card without a Visa or MC logo.

You will have to use PayPal mate or use another reg like NameCheap etc

PayPal will take you about a week to setup.

I agree. PayPal is quite a time an uneccessary consuimiung process.

However, it is yet the best option to make any payment, for any product, anywhere in the world.

So once you have a quicker alternative for paying GoDaddy, I suggest that you apply for your PayPal Account.

Agreed. Visa and MC debit cards can be used as credit cards as well - anywhere.

You'd better contact their billing department and have this issue (question) discussed with them

Simply select PayPal as your payment. When you're redirected to pay, use your debit card and you're done!

You do NOT need to have a PayPal account to use your debit/credit card to pay when you use PayPal to process the payment.

I've used a debit card (a virtual card actually) in the past with Godaddy, but this was some years ago.
