Can you get or set up custom name servers for or with a .info domain?

Like im trying to say, you know how a .com can have nameservers like ns1.hostingdiscussion.com
Now if this domain was only a .info could it be ns1.hostingdiscussion.info?

I wouldn't see why not. I've never done it before, but looking in one of my control panels with a domain registrar the option is there to do it.

Who is your domain registered through? Have you contacted them regarding setting up custom nameservers?

Yes, you can use a .info domain just like you would use a dot-com.

I don't see a problem with it. May want to direct the question at GoDaddy to see if they have restrictions on it.

In the future, you may not want to disclose a domain name you are thinking of or planning to register.

Yes, there are people out there that will take your domain from you.

Did I miss the post where he revealed the domain name? Sorry I am a bit tired today...

hmm.. didn't see a domain name exposure on the postings - did I miss it? I saw the poster use "ns1.hostingdiscussion.com" or "ns1.hostingdiscussion.info" as example domains.

-------------
Ahhh.. I see it - it's in the signature! Yeah, promoting or even mentioning a domain name prior to having it in your hands is not smart. Pay the $10 even if you don't end up using the domain name.

Oh yeah, right.
That's what I like Marc (a.k.a. webfreak08) for. He sees everything.

EDIT: Seems like he is too fast as well. Now that the domain is public, we edited the signature at the same time to protect the member.

@ IkY0294: I agree with the rest: do not reveal any domains until you register them - there are lots of people out there who would jump on the opportunity to sell it back to you for a lot more cash.

Yeah, also contact godaddy about the .info question and let us know how it turns out.
