From SEO aspects, hosting related issues are going to be far more important that what firm is actually hosting your domain name over the net. For example, shifting from one registrar to another which would happen quite seamlessly nowadays would probably not influence your web ranking or PR at all but choosing some other country specific hosting packs could definitely influence the ranks and traffic of the sites.
