Many of my friends use Free DNS Hosting for domain like EditDNS, DynDNS etc. It can help for backup DNS server they said. But I am really confused about it. Is it really helpful? Any risk there? Please suggest me.

Any serious domain registrar offer free DNS Service; why choose for slow DNS hosting?

All domain reseller of Bangladesh use services from Uk2 group. I am not sure but they have no support for it.

ALWAYS use 3rd party DNS services, WHY? Because you should be able to move your domains from registrar to registrar without having to lose your zones.

It's better than all paid services put together with 4 servers in different continents.

those guys are pushing +20mil queries per day.. i wouldn't trust my domains with anyone else.

But at afraid.org you share your domain with another users...

It's a community just like here. I have over 60 domains hosted there set to private.. meaning they need to request permission to use and I can deny if I don't like 100% the intended use.

I still haven't gotten a request, yet.

I'd say EditDNS is really beneficial.

It's great because they have servers in multiple locations, so it's great for redundancy and locale.
