Who is the domain's registrar? Many domain registrars allow you to park your domain name free of charge. Some even let you host an email address or two, as well. Check with your registrar.

Yeah, many registrars do that but not all. Go Daddy charges you a lot of money to part your domains there. Though, I think you can park your domain on Sedo for free.

Go Daddy are the only registrar i know that charges to park a domain.

think, you register a domain by default this will have the registrars nameservers, so in effect parked until you decide what you are going to do with the domain

Anyway, instead of having for parking your domain, what about creating a single webpage to promote your domain? You can choose the cheapest hosting package to host the webpage.
