First of all, my domain registrar is 6hostdomains.com which I would advise everyone to stay away from. They are a reseller of enom.com. My site suddenly crashed about 2 weeks ago, an issue with my registrar I was told by my host.

I contacted 6host which then told me I had to contact enom.com Which I did. enom told we my domain was put on registrar-hold by thier Legal and Compliance department due to evidence of spamming.

I have no clue what this is in reference too. Honestly, niether I or anyone on my site "spams". This could be due to a formor member having a grudge on my site.

Anyway, I am still waiting for a response from enom.com's legal department to explain what I need to do to unlock this domain so I can reset the DNS to get my site back online.

In the meantime.... I also own a .org version of this domain name. Just to get my site back online, could I purchase an addon domain through my host so that my .com would point to my .org?

I am realy lost in this situation, as of right now I just wanna do whatever it is I can do to get my site back online.... please post your suggestions.. thanks in advance.

Have you already got the answer from your hoster? Tell me please who was the former owner of this domain ( I mean what did he do)?

I'm in the same boat and would love to hear how/if you get your problems resolved. I have 4 domains with 6hostdomains and I can't access any of them due to an "upstream communications error". No answer to any emails, and no responses to any of my support tickets. I don't have any contact info or I would be phoning them too.

My domains are functioning fine, but they are basically being held hostage until I can access their nameservers and other information. I can't transfer them without some authorization code, which I cannot get because nothing is working!

I've lodged a complaint with ICANN and have also sent a request for help from Enom. I'll post if I get anywhere with this.

I really hate the domain transfer process. There needs to be a way to prove ownership without relying on service from the existint registrar.
ARG.

Hello,

If your domain has been spamming then the registrar has the right to keep your domain on hold as the spamming from your domain might have broked the AUP violations rules.

When the domain is spammed first it is blocked by the spamcop. They keep the domain in 24 hours observation. Once they release they the domain and if they found that the domain is still spamming then they block again and they will not release the domain until and unless you give an explanation to them. If they release the domain after you provide a valid explanation and again they found that the domain is spamming then they will tell the registrar to block the domain since the domain is continuing the illegal activities.

Also the domain registrar blocks the domain if they found that the domain is causing load on their resources and jamming their network.

Thank you.

Regards,
