And are you targeting resellers or are you targeting sales staff? Normally Resellers aren't going to want to refer people to their host - they're going to want to keep the customers for themselves. So I think you mean sales staff - but I am not sure. More info is really needed to clear this all up.

I'm not sure, but I think it will be trust-based (i.e. I ask the customer where they got my name/email/domain from). I'm a trusting person. I just don't have the time or desire to post on all 99999999 web hosting forums.
