I would like to know everyones opinion on the best billing system and/or server management software for dedicated servers on the market at the moment.

Right now my plans are to use Modernbill V4 since we are already using this for our hosting and reseller customers. The thing with Modernbill is it is not setup very well for use with dedicated server orders and management. I am not sure if V5 is any better, but with the horror stories I have heard about V5, I do not even want to touch it.

I know I can setup Modernbill to cover the basics of the order and such, but it just does not have the advanced features needed for a dedicated billing/management solution.

Any ideas on this?

I just took a quick glance at it. Have you personally ever used it? I there is some slight integration with Modernbill. If you have used this system, to what extent is it integrated?

If you are unsure it is no problem. I can always just contact them directly.

I have used it in a Production Environment and yes it does integrate with Modern Bill I have not personally used it but it does have its own billing system which is available also. When I used it they were also testing Kayako eSupport at the time. Overall it is a good piece of software, branding is slightly difficult but can be done.

Hi,

Modernbill is good. If you are looking at cheaper solution then ClientExec is also a good choice.

In almost the same boat, using MB v4, won't touch v5. Looked long and had at whmcs, very nice would get the job done.

I am waiting because shortly there is suppose to be a new billing system on the market from some very reliable developers that will allow to buy what you need in a billing system and leave the rest. Sorry that is all I can say. If I say any more it would betray a trust.

If your big enough. Use Ubersmith DE http://ubersmith.com

Its the best for anything. Pretty sure, softlatyer uses a customized verion of it. Very costly though.

WHMCS will do for most cases with some backup tracking ware for server bw monitoring.
