We also use WHMCS, and it is much better than what we previously had for over a year - ubersmith. Ubersmith lacks many updates, and it takes months (and years in their case on some issues) to implement simple things that other billing managers have long implemented. WHMCS is definitely a relief for us, and I am very much so enjoying using their software.

I've had experience with ModernBill, ClientExec, AccountLab Plus and WHMCS. IMHO nothing beats WHMCS with it's SMARTY templating system, great support, frequent updates, easy conversion from another system and fast management. It is also much faster than the other systems.

Hii all,

Well i was checking out the WHMCS site today and was really impressed mainly coz they have billing, and automated account creation as well as customer support all in one. But i have couple of Q,

1 . Does it offer live chat apart from knowledge base and help tickets..?

2 . And do they offer instant alerts using SMS for help tickets..?

Thanks

Yes guys, I am a success story. WHMCS is wonderful and easy to use. Everything is basically automated, all I would have to do is activate accounts and the system does the rest from there. On top of that, it is cheaper to lease it than other billing softwares.

Recommended.

1. No. There are lots of good live-chat systems around, just integrate the one you prefer.
2. No. There are lots of ways to build that into your setup - something as simple as a cron job reading the DB using your SMS service of choice - easy

We have been using WHMCS for a couple of weeks we use to use modernbill but a couple of years ago. I love WHMCS it is simple and does the job not much more I could ask for.

Its the worst I have every seen. ClientExec beats WHMCS round in all.

ClientExec seriously has an awesome user-interface and does help clients, but WHMCS looks like helping out WHM rather than your clients... lol

When i started in the business i used clientexec , i soon changed to whmcs as i could see from the trial of it i started with it was a all round complete automation system It handles everything from customer signup to payment , account creation and more. Gives me more time to manage the server and provide a greater level of support to my clients

I decided yesterday that it was time to get a new billing system since Modernbill seems to be going down the hill and I need a system that is updated on a regular basis and has the potential for new features without waiting years.

So yesterday I decided after looking at several billing systems to go with WHMCS. I have nothing but good things to say about it. The import process was great and only needed a few tweaks to get everything worked out and ready to run live.

It some great new features and now the full Kayako integration it even makes a better system that it has in the past. WHMCS has a very promising future and I see great things coming from this software on a regular basis.

we will be rolling out 3.5 soon.

You can really customize it. Our design team did an excellent job with ours
