Not sure if anyone posted it and I was quite shocked when I saw it. Seems like vBulletin has been bought by a bigger compnay and what's more shocking is one of the two main guys has left the team.

Big news indeed. I guess it was the time for the co-founder to cash out.
I think that the product won't depreciate in value or become less productive because of this. Same people will continue the development of it.

Wow, thats very interesting news. The product has been very stable over the last years, hopefully it will continue to grow and get better regardless of who is behind it -- seems most of the same team will still be there. Good luck to John and his new adventures.

It was bound to happen because of it's sucess. I'm hoping they don't reshuffle the management around but at the moment everything seems to be staying the same.
Now that is interesting, I guess only time will tell but I can't see them making any real big/drastic changes to it only improve on what they have already.
