Christmas Time is approaching. Is everyone in the festive mood yet?

Tomorrow the Trimmings "Decorations" go up as traditional (12 Days before Christmas) and take them down (12 Days After).

I've already got Band Aid, Slade, Wizzard and Shakin' Stevens playing

I haven't seen the prices of Turkey yet however I heard they will be a little more then previous years.

Aside from that I seem happy. There has been no sign so far this year in the newspapers that certain individuals believe that Christmas should be BANNED in the U.K so things are looking up.

I've just helped put up the Christmas decorations... Women lol... but it was fun anyhow! (the Christmas tree is somehow slightly bent at an angle)

I don't think we are having turkey this year - most likley beef or lamb. As far as im aware we are also going to spend Christmas & New Year with the rest of the family which is going to be great!

Next thing to do is the Christmas cards which is going to take at least a week if not longer

Mark which Band Aid are you playing the old one or the new one?

My favourite Christmas songs at the moment have to be...

Fairy Tale of New York
Do they know its Christmas (original)
Coca Cola Holidays are coming

Has to be that the 1984 Version. I don't like the 1989 Version. The 2004 Version was a nightmare and I don't know how it got to Christmas No.1; Having said that Steve Brookstein wasn't exactly "competition"

Edit: 1984 Version | 2004 Version

Oh dear. LOL.

We are putting our tree up late due to decorating the living room. Just need to get a fireplace installed, carpet down and a bit of paint on one wall. Hopefully I can get all that done in the next week.

The 2004 band aid was terrible. Especially the Dizzy Rascal bit in the middle (How random was that).

My Comment wasn’t a dig at people who don’t Celebrate Christmas because at the end of the day you respect people’s beliefs and their own traditions. However I expressed my comment because 1 or 2 people decided to make some money on a controversial story which would see there bank balance loaded with cash that was the part I was raged at.

To this day I still have no idea what he is actually 'singing'. I've never had the interest to look it up either.

I completely agree about respecting others beliefs.

I don't think anyone here is in the XMAS mood. I know myself, so much has happened, that I really can't wait for XMAS and New Years to go by.. I suppose I'm looking forwards to a new and better year, sort of a fresh new start.
