I foudn this on another forum and thought it was intresting. It basically lists some athletes that appear on game covers and how they're cursed.

NCAA Football:
Joey Harrington - Next Season was drafted by Lions, does poorly before suffering from an irregular heartbeat.

MVP Baseball
Miguel Tejada; Randy Johnson - Both were on the cover, and both struggled through the majority of the 2003 season.

Madden NFL Football
Eddie George - Has a career low in rushing yards since his rookie year.
Dante Culpepper - Career High in Interceptions, and Vikings struggle.
Michael Vick - Broken Leg
Marshall Faulk - Under 1000 yards for first time in over 8 years.
John Madden - Blows up like a Blimp!

Triple Play Baseball
Jason Giambi - Struggled against injuries for all of 2000 campaign.
Mike Piazza - Career lows in hitting, injuries.

NHL (EA)
Dany Heatley - Kills Dan Snyder
Mario Lemiux - Back problems force early retirement (later returned)

All-Star Baseball
1998 - Larry Walker posts a below average season, and dislocate his finger two weeks into the season, forcing him to play only half of those games during injury.
1999 - 2003 (Derek Jeter) - Has disagreements with ownership (I.E. George Steinbrenner), begins a war of words with the forementioned Steinbrenner.
2004 - (Derek Jeter) On the Box Cover, and dislocates his shoulder on OPENING DAY!
