Soldiers are dying at a rate of about 5 a week. Higher than when the war was actually on.
This can't be good for GWs ratings.

I heard it on the news this morning! It is terrible to lose 15 fine soldiers because of a chopper crash. Incredible how things get worse and worse and worse.. not even by week but by day.

US military personal might have lost the idea of their prese4nce in Iraq by now. They are just easy targets on a daily basis - how good do you think anyone would feel?

I hope they get out of the country soon.

I think everyone wants them to be safe and get outta there soon but I would place the blame squarely on Dubya for them being there in the first place. Now there is no choice but to finish what was started

Well, I heard on the news that the helicopter was missiled down, which makes it totally discouraging. Plus, 3 other soldiers were killed today, lining the total number of losses for today to 20.

Very sad to see young boys (most of them are our age - 20-something) being killed like that. No war is worth dying for.

My thoughts and prayers are with all the families who lost their loved ones in Iraq.

Hello,
Its very hard in these situations as I have a realative (uncle) who died fighting for his country years ago. Not something you would like to think about especially if you were close.
Thanks
