I've been in professional tennis since I was 6 yrs old. Played through college (or university in Russia), although about 2-3 years prior to that point realized I am not an ATP level material, so I stopped playing as much. I still continue and irregularly compete in various tournaments. Although last year I injured myself so I've been on the sidelines since. Lots of therapy and just starting to do cycling more and more.

Rehab can be frustrating, but hopefully you'll be back at it soon. Are you still looking at tennis as your favorite, or has your injury changed that? Cycling? Isn't it still snowing in Canada?

Absolutely. Tennis is a big part of my life and I can't imagine living without it. Every time I get an injury my mood is at its lowest.

Reg. cycling, I just cycle around town really. Montreal is the perfect city for that with about 560 km of bike paths built. Its also the first city in North America to introduce cycling as part of its public transit system with Bixi. The system is similar to one in Paris, France.

PS: It probably does snow somewhere in Canada, its been OK for a while in Montreal. Weather is the only factor playing against the cycling idea here.

Montreal and the Bixie look beautiful. It's hard for me to conceptualize km versus miles. I can do the conversion, but I think in miles. One of my best friends played tennis in college (Ol' Miss), but he ran into the back of an 18 wheeler and had to have one ankle fused, thus the end of that. He used to stomp me on the courts after work. But I always outlifted him at the gym.

Injuries can be devastating. I suffered two ruptured achilles tendons (both times the right tendon) - about 13 years ago. That injury set me back years. I can just imagine playing against you in tennis. What's the term for a shut out in tennis?

hello.
Thank you for sharing.
we can do some regular exercise and yoga in the every morning or everyday.

its the best way to keep onself in proper shape.

When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it,
you have a moral obligation to share it with others.

A knock out? Or bageled perhaps? (meaning you got zeros in all sets of the match: 6-0 6-0)

I've never heard the term, "Bageled." Makes sense though.

wew. 6-0, 6-0 scoring. I can't even call that one a game. More like a landslide.

Well, I suspect it would be a landslide loss for me against Artashes in tennis, but .. racquetball might be another story.

Stationary or other? Do you have any bike trails there? We have a few in Metro St. Louis I really enjoy. We actually have a recumbant bike in our living room so we can cycle during shows.
