Farrah died this morning after a long battle with cancer, and just minutes ago, Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest. I really grew to like Farrah much better after her documentary about dealing with her cancer. I always watched the earlier epidsodes of Charlie's Angels. Rest in peace.

Just seen this on the net, I never expected Michael Jackson to go out like that so young. Wasnt a huge fan or anything but I liked a couple of his tracks in the 80's and always sad to hear of someone passing away at 50

The reports so far are unconfirmed. L.A. Times might have a source at the UCLA medical center, but I would rather have a doctor confirm the rumor.

Same as above, not a huge fan, but certainly few tracks are great that I grew up on. Certainly a legendary artist.

I know I'll be crucified for saying it but when I heard about Farrah I though "what a shame" and when I heard a couple of hours later about Jackson I thought "what a shame it didn't happen 15 years ago".
As far as I'm concerned one less pedophile in this world is not a bad thing.

Hey Blue - had pretty much the same thing posted on my facebook page actually

I think it's sad that Farrah's information got bumped to a few pages back in the papers and MJ takes front page. Ed McMahon died the other day too - so that makes the 3 (deaths usually come in 3's)

I was really impressed by Farrah's strength these past 3 years battling cancer. I have to tell you - it was hard watching her documentary. Very sad.

I thought this. I was shocked about how everyone went on and on about how the 'king of pop' is dead. I was waiting for people to address the fact he loved children

Not that I care much, but this was never proven and MJ was acquitted of charges.

"Not guilty" is nowhere close to being innocent in a lot of cases.
Someone with the money that Jackson had would in my opinion spend whatever it takes to prove his innocence if in fact he was innocent. Instead he chose to buy off the parents.
He was guilty. He was a child molester. No amount of talent can erase that.

I guess I look for the good in people, especially in death. There's certainly enough bad to circle the globe a million times over. I'm sorry I started this thread, given the tone it's taken.

What I find really sad is that Farrah's death, while tragic, would have brought a hell of a lot of attention to cancer causes and recognition. It would have been a fund raising boon for cancer research.
Instead all we get is this pathetic "king of pop" dominating the headlines.

Yes, the first time he reached a settlement with the accused family for $20 million I believe.

The second time (in 2005?) a jury acquitted him of charges due to weak evidence.

What kind of parents take money to close their eyes when (and if) their child was indeed molested anyway? I'd never sell out my own child this way.

The reality is - he was one of the most successful music artists of all time. Evidence supports it.

PS: I've never heard of Farrah until the report of her death, but I do believe she was talented (and certainly beautiful).

PS2: What strikes me the most is how beneficial the death of the musician turned for the Iranian government. The world's media attention totally shifted in a matter of minutes. The less riot coverage, the less motivation the people of Iran will have to continue protesting.

How could you not expect MJ to go out so young? He had a lot of health problems that persisted for years.
