Chicago for the Weekend

I'm going to be in Chicago this weekend for the FENI Conference. Thursday until Monday.

Does anyone here have suggestions for after hours activities?

as to the one I would suggest, I hear the resturants are good as is the night life

Don't know if you're into improv or comedy, but they put on a great show there. I know I enjoyed it.

That could be a good idea Steve. Chicago is the home of the improv isn't it?

I've been to a few places in Chicago before.
Dick's Last Resort
Giordano's Pizza
Buddy Guys
Kingston Mines

A bunch of bars that I don't remember because I was less than sober when I got there.

The waterfront of course.

I'm planning on going to Alinea Restaurant and a few local joints.

Dick's is always good for entertainment and people.

I used to go to the Hilton overthere quite a bit on meetings, and less than a block away there was an Irish bar that I parked myself in for a number of nights. I don't recall the name, but it was out the front door of the hotel, go right and 1 block. cross the street, down 2 doors and there it was. Getting home for some reason was more complicated some nights

Haven't been to Chicago in 3 years now - but it's still as cold and windy as ever. They just got blasted with another round of snow, so bring your woolies!
