In Baseball, perfect games end after the 27th batter.
It's an amazing accomplishment.

Armando Galarraga achieved something even more impressive. He went perfect against 28 batters.
Why? Because of a blown call.

Everyone makes mistakes.
Umpire Jim Joyce made a mistake at one of the most crucial times in his career and Galarranga's career.
He blew the call.

He has apologized and admitted his mistake. He called Galarranga in tears to apologize sincerely for making this mistake. He showed class in doing so.

Now it is time for Bud Selig to do the right thing. Overturn the call and make this a perfect game.
This should not go down as a perfect game with an asterisk because a call had to be overturned. It should go down as a perfect game with an asterisk because the pitcher shut down more consecutive batters than any other in history.

History was made on June 2 but the records may never show it.

Obviously an injustice, but this game will go down in history as perfect none the less. Everyone makes mistakes. Even straight A students only have to average 90% correct.

Had to have been an incredible game to watch.
