We as Host Companies can be better each day by being good at what we do. It is more than providing a place for a website it is about being there for your clients and making sure they sites are running all the time.

Well said SWH. I couldn't agree more. When I had my host I had roughly 40-50 clients. I didn't want to be like every other host...I wanted to provide my clients the quality they expected from me. So, I talked to my clients on a daily basis. Some through msn, some through email, and some even through my twitter account for my host.

The thing I loved the most from talking with my clients was finding out ways to improve my service. My clients and I also talked about other stuff. I proactively got involved in their lives. My clients became more than a number, they became friends. Because of that, when it was time to close down it brought a few tears to my eyes. It was like I was losing 40-50 friends all at once.

Getting to know your clients is the best thing you could ever do as a host. Because if you treat them as a number, they will treat you just like a fly by host they've seen a dozen times.
