How was the weekend with the grandchildren? Did they have a blast with the explosive Saturday night Pujos had? Looking forward for a win today so they can have a happy flight.

Well, the series is now tied at 2 each, so I'm hoping Carpenter can hold them in check tonight. Pujols is a monster at bat, isn't he?

Played catch (baseball), basketball, croquet, practiced some karate, played the Wii, watched the Series, a little tetherball - all in all a great weekend.

Was talked into starting up Karate lessons again on Saturday mornings - by my wife, daughter and grandson.

Pulled up the banana trees and brought them inside - expecting a cold front this week. Have bananas on one of them - second year in a row.

I hope texas takes the game tonight, then us texas fans can relax and take a breather ourselves.

It looks like there is going to be interesting sales/management meetings over here this week. The cards better come through at home.

Look at how the Cardinals got here - it's amazing how far they've come. I just hope Pujols stays here next year. I can't picture him in another uniform.

I hope he does too. He only has a hand full of teams that can afford him though. There are going to be some major free agents this year. Who even knows what will happen with baseball period. In December there CBA is up isn't it?

You're right - end of December, but I suspect they'll 'get er done' by then. The major issue with MLB is distribution of wealth.

That is supposedly the issue with every sport this year. Honestlly regular people do not make 50%+ of the companies revenue, I don't think athletes should either. MLB doesn't seem to have as many players who are entitled. Pujos doesn't walk around going I deserve 70% of the Cardinals Revenue. He lets his bat do the talking.

So sorry, jaguarpc - but the St. Louis Cardinals are the World Series Champions. It was a great series though. I sure hope Pujols re-signs. In the parade here yesterday, I didn't even recognize Lance without his beard.
