But it is a good job they are doing something to the crooks.

These cases against spammers are so rare that being a spammer in today's reality is probably one of the safest professions in the world (legal liability-wise). I doubt this would scare off other spammers from continuing the activity.

Spam will die when it becomes unprofitable. And that will come when people stop falling for it.
